Steelbox 2000 Hardware Components
The NMA 2000 features front mounted power buttons, LCD display and controls for network configuration and system status and front mounted USB ports for firmware upgrades. The system features 3 or 6 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connectivity to camera networks, client PC networks, and Steelvault storage units.
The Ethernet ports provide RJ-45 connections. These connectors feature locking mechanisms to prevent the cables from pulling out of the units. Care should be observed when disconnecting Ethernet cables from the ports to prevent damage to the locking mechanism. Category 5e or category 6 cabling should be used to connect the Steelbox NMA to network devices.
A single power supply connects the NMA 2000 to 110VAC power. It is recommended that a UPS system with surge protection is utilized to prevent damage to the system from power spikes, brown-outs, or complete power failure.
The NMA 2000 features a front mounted LCD display with controls for network configuration and basic operations, an industrial chassis, and detachable front mount particulate filter. Proper maintenance should be employed to maximize the lifespan of the equipment.
